I am Sponge Bob in an oven...
So what better way to escape the searing la heat than to enter the even more searing Las Vegas heat? Why, going into hot and HUMID New Jersey of course. Dude, the weather here sucks...it's muggy. It's just nasty. On our drive today, there were even thunderstorms...crazy hard...and then it would just be muggy again right after. Blech, blech, and double blech...
So, I wanna talk about vegas...but pictures and other people's blogs seem to have summed it all up nicely. Nevertheless, my account:
Vegas was fun as always...way hotter than our previous trips, but hey, it's VEGAS. 117 degree weather should sum it up nicely. But of course we had fun, gambling...and I'm very happy that I didn't lose my wad like before...first time I've spent more than I've lost I think, which is an very good sign =p. Cic and V were the numero uno drunks that night, they had to carry her home and he was yelling in tagalog in the damn restauraunt, swinging the shirt he took off of himself around his head. Rio Seafood Buffet? Always good...except when you don't eat enough plates. But I guess seasoned buffeteers...so we have an advantage. We eat w/ our stomachs, not our eyes. Monte Carlo was cool, we ran into some familiar faces there, Ed, Jeff, Alden and some other poeple they were with. Got to do my dance-aerobics there, then Sapphire afterward. And Sapphire can be summed up in one word....CRAZY. It was crazy, that's all I gotta say. Some things are better left unsaid, yet some are...but this is the former, not the latter... Traffic wasn't so bad on the way home, and we actually had a caravan goin on, to eat dinner at Chris house for his B-day(OH YEAH, HAPPY B-DAY CHRIS!!!! that was the purpose of the trip..), I love the lub-lub(sp?) his family makes, it's to die for. But that was vegas..., I don't think I went into much detail purely because others who have come before me have already done a great job of it...so thanks for saving me the time...
NJ...my second day in Joizey and like I said, MUGGY. BLECH. But here are a few things I've learned so far, plus some other things I learned:
-Cigarettes are damned expensive here...not as bad as in the city, but expensive...
-people are pretty cool, everyone I've met and talked to is nice
-It's "you and me" not "you and I" when saying, he could teach you and ME a thing or two about road rage...patience
-they call cops out here "smokies"
-Porcini's is an awesome restaurant(italian)
-This hotel kicks ass...there was a club tonight and there's gonna be a bikini contest tomorrow! SAWWWWWEEEEEEEEEET!!!!
-Kinda sucks to be out somewhere totally on your own, being alone w/ your thoughts w/o any distraction can be somewhat of a torture
-I think that's it so far...
Well, I'm here for the week, so I'm sure I'll have pics or something for when I return...not to mention some more joizey updates...til then...
